Westfields M7
Crowned with a screened roof garden, that enjoys outstanding views to the Queen Elizabeth Park and London Skyline.
The Project M7 is a new build commercial office development situated within the Westfield City Stratford, and form the new HRMC offices. Crowned with a screened roof garden, that enjoys outstanding views to the Queen Elizabeth Park and London Skyline.
Frosts Landscapes were involved in the construction of Level 76 roof Garden so-called due to its height above sea level. We carried out all works from the waterproofing layer including insulation, drainage and reservoir layers.
Chinese granite was with a combination of different finishes was laid in an intricate linear pattern using Ryno rail and pedestal system. Bespoke planters installed with colours to match the building façade, benches and bird boxes served to complement this tranquil space.
Due to construction restrictions, shallow soils depths have been used and where a great depth has been required planters have been installed. A planting palette using prairie-style grass and ground cover planting used to complement the paving and stepping stones in the shallow areas. All set off with a gravel mulch finish. A simple and stylish roof garden with outstanding views that will grow into its surrounding as the plants mature.
A simple but lovely project.
