The Garden Bed Chelsea Flower Show
Stephen worked alongside Alison Doxey, his lifelong friend and a professional florist, to produce this artisan garden.
Presented as though the observer is indoors, looking out to an accessible hospice garden, the design incorporates homely, familiar planting and a hospice bed enveloped by the natural surroundings
Invigorating and calming, restorative and contemplative, The Garden Bed illustrates how even the most humble of spaces can be a beautiful sanctuary.
Frosts Landscape Construction were honoured to install the garden at Chelsea Flower Show and help Stephen and Alison’s first Chelsea garden to achieve a Gold Medal in the Artisan Garden category.
Frosts worked with the designers to source materials and plants for the scheme and test out options before the show by constructing a full scale mock up off site. This also allowed a construction and installation ‘dry run’ to ensure the show ground build ran smoothly.
